Brendan is delighted to be back again as Director with Arklow Panto Creations. Although no
stranger to the stage Brendan’s first role was Benny Southstreet in “Guys & Dolls”. Since
that he has played the parts of Francis Fryer “Calamity Jane”, Freddy “My Fair Lady”, The
Mikado “The Hot Mikado”, Bullfrog “Honk”, Jerry/Daphne “Some Like It Hot”, Lumiere
“Beauty and the Beast”, Uncle Fester in the Irish Premier of “The Addams Family”, Mr.
Sowerberry “Oliver” with Avonmore Musical Society and The Tin Man “Wizard of Oz” Gorey
Musical Society. Brendan has also performed in many cabaret shows. As one of the
founder members of Arklow Panto Creations, Brendan is very proud of the strengths within
this group and the rate it is growing and hopes it continues to do so for many years.
Conor McCarthy hails from Limerick and began his piano tuition at Limerick school of Music. Conor then went on to study at DIT under pianist Catherina Lemoni-O’Doherty at the Conservatory of Music and Drama and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education (B.Mus.Ed) from both Trinity College Dublin and the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. Conor furthered his studies by obtaining Diplomas in Piano Performance with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and the London College of Music. Conor now works as piano tutor, accompanist and musical director in Dublin and the South-East area. Conor is delighted and excited to be working with Arklow Pantomime Creations this year!”
Choreographer – Martina Lynch
Martina Lynch is an established & respected teacher of dance in Co. Wicklow. She is the proud owner and director of her own dance studio – “Studio 55” in Arklow and Avoca. Martina offers classes for all ages in Ballet, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Body Conditioning, Zumba Fitness, Piloxing and Ballroom & Latin American. Studio 55 has had great success with previous productions such as Seussical, Grease, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, The Wizard of Oz, Shrektacular and most recently with “The Little Mermaid”. Martina is the co-founder of “Stagefright Productions” – a new and exciting theatre school directed by herself and Stephen Acton – “Stagefright” will soon be putting on their own production of “Into the woods”. Martina’s, Studio 55 was nominated for an Arklow Chamber of Commerce award for “Best New Business” in 2012 and in 2013; Studio 55 won the Chamber of Commerce award for “Best Small Business” in the town. In September 2015 Martina was chosen as a finalist in the search for “Irelands Best Young Entrepreneur”. Martina has been the Choreographer for the Avonmore Musical Society for the last nine years. She was nominated for an Aims Award in 2010 for her choreography for the society’s production of “Seussical” and she was nominated again in 2011 for her choreography for “The Wedding Singer”. In 2012 Martina’s choreography contributed to the society’s production of “The Wizard of Oz” being nominated for “Best Overall Show”, a nomination that that they received again in 2016 for their production of “Evita”. Martina choreographed Arklow Panto Creations debut Panto of “Aladdin” in 2016, she was on maternity leave last year but she is now super excited to be back and she can’t wait to get started.
